An introduction to MJG Bloodtstock and Racing. What can we do for you?

Hello one and all and a very happy new year! We hope that 2024 brings you plenty of success and a fruitful year.

I thought I would write this post to give you an introduction into the things we do and how we can help your business. Feel free to have a navigate through the website, although this is far from a finished site, it has been sent live so people have a landing spot for our business.

So what do we do? Ultimately we provide data solutions, predominantly to the horse racing industry to aid with your processes and save you valuable time.

Our main products stretch across a few areas of the industry.

Race Planner

Our race planner is one of our best products. It was built in collaboration with Chris Dixon (Racing TV/Horse Watchers/Race Planner) who does the race planning for the Dave O'Meara team as well as he own string of horses. What we wanted to achieve is all of the things that Easy Entry can't do and help Chris improve his planning experience.

The planner is updated on each update of the digital racing calendar and is filled with all of the horses in your yard/team and their race details. The planner then immediately shows you which horses qualify for which races. Not only that, it also shows you all the other horses in the yard that qualify for the same race, making your targeting of races really easy. You can take individual horses out of training at the click of a button and that horse will no longer appear in any races, alongside many other features. You can filter all of the data by horse, class, distance, race type and many more to easily find the best targets available in the diary in a matter of seconds.

Each yard/team has their own version of the tracker built to any specific needs and gets full support throughout the week with any help/questions that are needed.

Entries Tracker (Jockeys Agents)

Another product that has been developed in collaboration with Chris Dixon who also acts as a jockey's agent. We produce a daily report that highlights all of your riders retained rides, previous rides, related rides and owner connections. The report is colour coded and is produced within minutes of the entries going live. This enables Chris, who is very busy with his other racing commitments to have access to this data in crucial time-saving fashion.

We would be more than happy to speak to any other agents that would like to see the tracker working. For agents with multiple riders this is a huge asset, as you can see with the success of Chris's jockeys.

Sales Data & Quick Lists

Our sales data comes in various formats and is produced to suit your individual needs. When going to the sales, particularly the foal/yearling sales, there is so much data to get through so we now produce fully printable reports to suit your needs for each sale you require.

Here are some of the examples of lists we have produced...

"Show me all the lots that the dam has produced at least one 90 rated horse"

"Only show me lots that the dam has produced a black-type performer"

"Only show us lots from this group of sires"

"From the HIT sales, only show us the lots that are UNRACED"

"We would like to see all the lots from Book 2 that come from a dam that has produced black-type horses, has at least three horses rated in the 90's and the sire is..............."

Producing these reports ahead of each sale makes your job of glancing through the sales book much easier. Each report is available for a one off fee, or you can subscribe for a discounted yearly fee.

Sales Model

We also produce our own data model for each sale, the model gives us an Expected Official Rating for each horse that goes through the ring based on various data analysis. We do not currently offer this product out except for our existing client base and any yards we do race-planning/analysis for.
